Our Team
Meet our founder- Genevieve
Genevieve first stepped onto a yoga mat in college at the suggestion of her roommate, who thought it might help her “chill out.” At the time, it felt too slow and almost like a chore—but it planted a seed.
That seed grew during her first stressful job after graduation. Working long hours with little pay, Genevieve couldn’t afford a studio membership, but she found solace in community and donation-based yoga classes. It was in those welcoming, accepting spaces that she truly fell in love with the practice. She made a promise to herself: one day, when she had the time and resources, she would become a yoga teacher and make sure accessible, affordable yoga existed wherever she lived.
Now, with over five years of teaching experience, Genevieve has taught in a wide variety of settings—from mental health centers and community spaces to prenatal, postnatal, and yin yoga classes. Her favorite part of being a teacher is helping students build a personal, meaningful relationship with their practice—whether it’s their first class or their hundredth.
Through her teaching and this organization, Genevieve is committed to keeping yoga grounded, welcoming, and truly for everyone.
